Demarco “DJ” Bryant, beloved son, brother, father, spouse, grandson, cousin, and friend, passed away at the age of 19. Although his time with us was far too short, DJ lived his life to the fullest, leaving behind countless memories and a lasting love of life that will remain with everyone who knew him.

DJ was the beloved spouse of Joy and a proud father to his son, Deuxsjar E. Bryant. Being a father was one of the greatest joys of his life. When he wasn’t pursuing one of his many interests and activities, DJ could often be found at home spending time with his son, talking on the phone with his brother, playing video games with his cousins, or simply enjoying time with his friends and the people he loved.

DJ was a graduate of Finneytown High School, where he embraced every opportunity to be involved. He participated in soccer, track, cross country, tennis, volleyball, and basketball, along with numerous extracurricular activities. He also participated in the annual Black History Program in 2025, among many other experiences that allowed him to share his talents, energy, and personality with those around him.

Following high school, DJ continued his education at the University of Cincinnati, where he was majoring in Computer Engineering. He was a true completionist who took pride in learning, exploring, and giving his all to the things he cared about. His many hobbies and interests included playing guitar, bowling, sports, gaming, and being a part of Forever Kings, among many other pursuits. There was always something new for DJ to explore, accomplish, or become passionate about.

Above all, DJ was someone who loved life. He had a unique ability to make the most of every moment, whether he was competing on the court or field, working toward his goals, spending time with family, laughing with friends, or simply being there for the people he loved. In just 19 years, he accomplished and experienced so much, and the impact he made on the lives of those around him cannot be measured by the number of years he was given.

DJ leaves to cherish his memory his spouse, Joy; his son, Deuxsjar E. Bryant; his parents, Clifford Horn and Januari Brown; his grandparents, Yvonne and Billy Brown; his siblings, Jamauri (Alana), Shannon, Divine, Demarcus, DeAirius, and Devin; his aunts and uncles, Shannon, Kisha, Joshua, and Michael; his cousins, Ronnie and Brandyn; along with extended family, friends, classmates, teammates, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

DJ’s life was a testament to making every moment count. His laughter, passions, determination, love for his family, and the joy he brought into the lives of others will never be forgotten. Though his life was far too short, he filled those 19 years with more love, experiences, accomplishments, and memories than many could fit into a lifetime.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
