Karl Dewayne Gaston

Karl Gaston, 55, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026 in his Minnesota residence. He was born February 14, 1971 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Phillip (Betty) Wallace and Ethel Gaston.

He was a loving brother, uncle, and stepfather who loved to spend time with family, BBQ and always being happy.

Karl leaves to cherish his memory: siblings, Bonita (Gaston) Beachum, Lacretia Gaston, Latoya Gaston; Keshia Wallace and Bernard Gaston; nieces and nephews, Marquis (Nicole) Myers, Richard Gaston, Solomon (Dominique) Ball, Rashauna Ragland, Antoinette Cavitt, Tyree Gaston, Inesha Gaston, Alexxis Gaston, Laquan Gaston, Jazmin (Lance) Lawson, Jamal Lawson, Nicholas Gaston, and Brianna Gaston; aunts, Mary Smoot-Anderson, Peggy Daniels and Betty Jones; stepchildren Amy McNeil, Sarah McNeil, Malaysia Kunce and a host of cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ethel and sister, Leslie and his stepson Christopher.
