Milan Maurice Daniels, Sr.

Milan Maurice Daniels, Sr. departed this life on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was 47 years old.

Milan was born on November 7, 1978, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Patricia Daniels Corbitt and Bert L. Herd, Jr. He was raised in Dayton and graduated from Belmont High School in 1998.

Milan dedicated many years of his professional life to serving others as a Case Manager with Eastway Behavioral Healthcare. Through his work, he had the opportunity to support individuals and families throughout the community.

Those who knew Milan knew that he loved to laugh and joke around. He had a sense of humor that could fill a room, and he enjoyed spending time with the people he loved. Family was an important part of his life, and some of his greatest joy came from simply being surrounded by those closest to him.

Milan was also an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan. Whether the Bengals were winning or testing the patience of their fans, Milan remained true to his team. His love for the Bengals was just one of the many things that made him unmistakably Milan.

Above all, Milan was a father. He leaves a legacy through his four beloved children: Milan Maurice Daniels, Jr., Micah Jeremiah Daniels, Mekhi Reginald Daniels, and Morgan Patricia Daniels, as well as his bonus son, Elijah Glover. His children were an important part of his life, and each of them carries a part of him forward.

Milan was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Daniels Corbitt and Bert L. Herd, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his four children, Milan Maurice Daniels, Jr., Micah Jeremiah Daniels, Mekhi Reginald Daniels, and Morgan Patricia Daniels; bonus son, Elijah Glover; his fiancée, Candace Ingram; his brother, Thomas Jefferson Daniels III (Era Jenkinson); two stepbrothers, Steven Snowden and Brian Herd; three aunts, Vanessa Jones, Heresa Madison, and Terryon Williamson; one uncle, Timothy Herd; his aunt, Sadie Eubanks; his special cousin, Shanetta Johnson; and a host of extended family members, friends, former colleagues, and loved ones whose lives were touched by Milan.

Milan's life will be remembered through the laughter he shared, the family he loved, the people he served, and the memories he created during his 47 years of life.

Though his time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, stories, and memories Milan leaves behind will remain with those who knew and loved him.

Rest peacefully, Milan. Your memory will live on through your children, your family, and all those who loved you.
