Regina Chapman was born on June 14, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Reversa Chapman and William Edward Hardy. The Lord called her name and she took his hand on May 2, 2026.
Regina, the baby of her family, was raised in Cincinnati’s West End Community. She looked up to her two brothers, Morris and Nolan Chapman and older sister, Carolyn Murrell.
She attended Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Western Hills High School in 1979. Following graduation she attended truck driving school. Soon after she successfully earned her Commercial Driver’s License. Regina continued to work multiple jobs throughout her life to support herself and her family.
Although she worked hard, she had a playful, fun-loving spirit. Always the life of the party, Regina attended every function and event with her warm smile and inviting presence. Regina loved her family and friends dearly and was truly the type of friend people called when they needed support.
Regina was also known as the “ family” cook and was infamous for her mac’ n cheese, potato salad, hot water cornbread and neck bone dishes. Her recipes were made with love and held the family together. Although Regina struggled with substance abuse, she celebrated more than 20 years of sobriety in the Narcotics Anonymous community. She was a proud sponsor and helped others in their journey to sober living.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reversa Chapman and William Edward Hardy, along with her older brother, Nolan Chapman.
Her loving spirit will forever be cherished by her three children, Nathan Chapman, Nirasha Chapman and Demetrius Chapman; her siblings, Carolyn Murrell and Morris Chapman, and her “honorary” daughter, Alexis Waller; five grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Regina was truly loved and will be extremely missed by everyone.
