Stephanie Lynn Walker

Stephanie L. Burton, 33, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026. She was born on September 3, 1992, to parents Shawn Burton and Roger Wilfong.

In 1995, Shawn relocated the family to Cincinnati, Ohio, to be closer to loved ones. Shortly thereafter, Stephanie and her two siblings entered the Hamilton County foster care system.

During her adolescence, Diane and Levi Walker opened their home and hearts to Stephanie, embracing her as a cherished member of their family. In the early 2000s, the Walker family legally adopted her, and she proudly took their surname.

Stephanie was educated in the Cincinnati Public School system, attending Woodford Paideia Elementary and later Woodward High School, where she graduated in May 2011.

After high school, she enrolled at Mount St. Joseph University, beginning her journey toward a career in nursing-a field that reflected her compassionate spirit.

In 2024, Stephanie dedicated her life to Jesus Christ and became a member of The Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church. She quickly became an active part of the church community, serving on the Praise Team and volunteering in outreach efforts, including the food pantry.

Stephanie was preceded in transition by her beloved adoptive parents, Diane Walker (December 2024) and Levi Walker (May 2025). She is survived by her biological parents, Shawn Burton and Roger Wilfong; her biological siblings, Alonzo and Ashli Burton; nieces Gabby and Princess; nephew Prince; and her adoptive siblings, Terry, Terrell, Michael, and Leesha Walker.

Stephanie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by the many lives she touched.

She leaves behind a host of family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
